EV Nickel Inc. (EVNI-TSXV) has two resources within 30 kilometers of the mining friendly center of Timmins Area of Ontario; (i) a large-scale nickel resource; and (ii) a high-grade nickel resource. This area is known as the Shaw Dome, which we believe will be a new global center of Nickel mining and critical metals supply.
Our large-scale combined Indicated and Inferred Resource of 1 billion tonnes grading 0.24% Ni, is one of the largest deposits in the world which we call the CarLang A Zone (comprised of Indicated Resource of 510Mt @ 0.25% Ni and Inferred Resource of 497Mt @ 0.23% Ni). The CarLang A deposit is exposed to surface with less than 5 metres of overburden cover, which should result in a very low strip ratio and very low cost of removal of over-burden compared to any other similarly sized projects in Canada and elsewhere.
Our recent surface sampling has identified similar large-scale nickel mineralization extending over additional zones within the interpreted10 kilometer strike length. This summer, EV Nickel drilled a new nickel sulphide zone that we call the Gemini North Zone in the area referred previously as CarLang C. The Company is excited about the results of these exploration results as the grades are substantially higher than the CarLang A Zone, millertite has been identified as the dominant nickel sulphide mineral in the zone, and should be related to improved potential recovery rates, traditional mining and processing and potential for a high nickel content concentrate. Opportunity exists for production of additional biproducts as well including copper, cobalt and PGMs.
Our high-grade deposit referred to as W4, has a combined Measured, Indicated and Inferred Resource of 2 million tonnes grading 0.98% Ni(comprised of Indicated Resource of 1.5Mt @ 0.98% Ni and Inferred Resource of 0.6Mt @ 0.98% Ni). EVNI is targeting additional high-grade zones in the area with the goal of reaching 10 million tonnes of greater than 1.0% Ni. This summer we drilled our second target called Langmuir #2 and intersected nickel mineralization including 7.5 metres grading 1.67% Ni and 1.0 metres grading 5.11% Ni from drill hole EV24-L04from grades ranging from 1% to 5% Ni.
Our company has the following advantages:
- Excellent Ore Body. Our large-scale ore body (CarLang) is in a tier one jurisdiction, is exposed at surface, and is located in close proximity to the Canada and US east coast auto, stainless steel, and military supply chain approximately 700 km north of Toronto, Ontario and 1,000 km north of Detroit, Michigan.
- Security of Supply. The military defence of North America, the industrial supply of stainless steal, and the future survival of the North American auto industry all depend on securing the supply of critical metals, such as Nickel, against the threat of hostile nations leveraging their control of supplies against the United States and Canada. We believe our projects and known deposits can play a vital role role in the security of the North American supply of low carbon nickel.
- Experienced Management Team. Paul Davis, our VP Exploration has spent his career on the Shaw Dome. Paul manages EVNI’s Exploration Team, coordinating all of the company's exploration efforts including diamond drilling, geochemical. metallurgical , geophysical and bioleaching programs. John Paterson is a major shareholder in the company, on the Board of Directors and the Interim CEO and has a long career in owning and building companies. Mike Silver is an Executive Director of the company responsible for partnerships, investor relationships and strategic direction.
- Strong Shareholder Support. The future of this company and its leadership team is supported by a strong group of experienced and knowledgeable family offices with deep ties in the world of mining and finance. The shareholders are invested in the Company for long-term growth and are based in the United States, Canada, Europe and West Africa.
- Government Support. The United States Department of Defence, Department of Commerce and Department of Energy all have programs to further the advancement of the security of supply of North American critical metals. The Canadian and Ontario governments have launched various funding programs and initiatives for advancing all levels of the supply chain of battery and critical metal production. EVNI has benefited from the Federal and Provincial support including funding from the IRAP (Federal - Industrial Research Assistance Program), CMIF (Ontario Critical Minerals Innovation Fund) and OJEP (Ontario Junior Exploration Program) to help advance the Companies bioleaching and carbon capture programs.
